| A work of fiction based on prediction of future scientific possibilities or absurdities. |
| Short Comedy |
| Project that is humorous in its treatment of theme and character, and has a happy ending. |
| Open (Short) |
| Projects that fall outside the designated categories are encouraged to enter. Our jurors have the latitude to “change,” “assign,” or “create” categories. |
| Short Social Commentary |
| Presentation of subject matter that portrays the values, mores, customs, beliefs, and/or traditions pertaining to society, or an element thereof. |
| Short Creative Media / Animation |
| Projects incorporating the use of technology, animation, and/or music to convey a concept, deliver a message, illustrate concepts, portray an idea, or tell a story. |
